    Kantar Media Names Christman Director of New Business Development

    Former VP of Strategic Sales for CBS Radio to Lead Sales Efforts in Support of Return Path Data Products

    New York, NY, November 30 -- Kantar Media, the leading provider of media research and insights has named Wendy Christman to the position of Director of New Business Development.  The announcement was made by Bud Breheny, Chief Commercial Officer of Kantar Media Audiences North America.  

    As Director of New Business Development for Kantar Media’s US-based Audiences team, Christman will provide sales leadership and management in support of new business efforts, with specific emphasis on expanding and extending the use of Kantar Media Return Path Data (RPD) products with existing and new clients among cable programmers, broadcasters, advertisers, and agencies.

    Christman was previously Vice President of Strategic Sales for CBS Radio Corporate, where she was responsible for creating customized media campaigns for clients utilizing the assets of CBS Radio, Television, Outdoor and Digital, as well as CNET/BNET properties. She also has served as director of NBC Universal Strategic Partnership Group, creating business solutions that utilized various assets of NBC Universal including Network, Cable, and Digital. She most recently served as a consultant to NBC Universal, helping to create multi-media partnerships in support of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Park at Universal Orlando Resort.

    “As the application and use of RPD continues to grow and evolve, Wendy’s extensive background in multimedia sales will be a tremendous asset for the development of new customers for our viewership products,” said Breheney. “Her history of creativity in developing innovative programs will be of great benefit both to Kantar Media and our clients.”

    A graduate of University of Rhode Island, where she received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Marketing, Christman has also served as Director of Advertising Sales for CNBC Global News Networks, Vice President of National and Local Ad Sales for Liberty Media and Vice President of the National Cable Communications (CableLink Division).

    Christman will be based in New York and report directly to Breheney.
