    Compete is looking for an outstanding Agile Coach and Scrum Master to join our Engineering team.  You will love, live and breathe Scrum and come on board to help us scale Compete’s agile product development process, in order to take it to the next level.

    We are looking for an individual who is more than your typical team-oriented employee.  We want a high energy Scrum Master and Agile Coach who loves to work with individuals, teams and groups while solving project challenges and helping streamline a quickly growing organization.  This person will be responsible for scaling our existing Scrum practices across more teams, and establishing a Scrum/Agile foundation throughout Compete.  Our successful candidate will be a leader by nature, quickly adaptable and enjoy making Scrum/Agile WORK within our fast-paced environment. 
    Roles & Responsibilities
    • Serve in a Scrum Master capacity for multiple teams, including off shore
    • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related activities
    • Identify and remove team impediments, engaging with the other parts of the organization as necessary
    • Drive the collaborative development of agreements and policies relative to the Scrum practice standards and tool usage
    • Facilitate the continuous improvement of delivery practices to improve predictability of outcomes and optimization of value
    • Track and communicate team velocity, sprint/release progress and other critical metrics
    • Maintain and improve process documentation
    • Ensure visibility and accountability from all teams
    • Foster the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
    • Empower the team to self-organize in effective ways
    • Assist as needed with backlog maintenance
    • Assist as needed with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs
    • Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definition

    Requirements
    • CSM certification, CSP preferred
    • Minimum of 4 Years of experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile teams
    • Fundamental orientation toward collaboration and servant leadership
    • Detailed understanding of Scrum/Agile principles and practices
    • Understanding of Agile metrics and the effective use of tools
    • History of participation in Agile community groups, discussion sites, etc., demonstrating an ongoing dedication to learning and improvement
    • Significant Project Management experience
    • Excellent communication skills in both technical and product domains
    • Polished presentation, facilitation and conflict management skills
    • Ability to engage with organizational leadership at multiple levels
    • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
