Compete’s unique multi-source panel methodology and industry-leading data management practices ensure our panel is unmatched in its depth, quality and integrity.Compete is looking to grow our UX team by adding a dedicated User Researcher to obsess about our users. You’ll work as part of a UX group with User Experience Design and Visual Design to create, validate, and improve the User Experience for Compete PRO users. As Researcher, you’ll “own your own business”, working with different groups to understand and prioritize issues, but ultimately making your own choices on how to define, test, and improve them. You’ll also act as the persistent and vocal voice of the user through the product development and design phase. You’ll work closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Service to understand, test, and refine all customer touch points.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct & manage ongoing up-front User Research tasks: Persona creation, task analysis, field studies, cognitive walkthroughs etc
• Conduct & manage ongoing Usability Evaluations of prototypes and production products: usability testing, heuristic reviews
• Drive product/design/marketing improvements by communicating research findings
• Drive product/design/marketing roadmaps by acting as the voice of the user
• Collaborate with product/design/marketing to define and prioritize user experience research projects
• Own and manage the relationship of the Compete product User Group
• Help drive localization/accessibility efforts for new productsNeed to have:
• MS in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology or related field (or comparable experience)
• 2-3 years experience as a User Researcher conducting research & usability evaluations
• Ability to own and manage all aspects of running a User Research program.
• Ability to choose or learn different sets of research methodologies to answer tough questions
• Experience working with B2B users/customers
• Philosophy that User Experience goes beyond the Interface
• Ability to position UX improvements in terms of ROIWould be nice:
• Prior experience working on Web Applications
• Prior experience working in an Agile development environment
• Prior experience working as part of a specialized UX team
• Domain knowledge around online marketing/advertising
