Advanced edition of “Academic Suite” from Kantar Media will provide most comprehensive view available of advertising expenditure data for use in marketing research projects

The new service, Academic Suite, enables students and professors to access media rate cards for 120,000 media properties and advertising expenditure data for 18 types of media, providing a 360 degree view of the advertising planning process for marketing research projects.
The new advanced edition is the result of collaboration and shared resources between Kantar Media’s SRDS, the leading search engine for media opportunities, rates and contact data, and Kantar Media Intelligence, the leading provider of strategic advertising intelligence to advertisers, advertising agencies and media properties. The Academic Suite now offers two levels of detail – advanced or basic -- with information drawn from both SRDS and Kantar Media Intelligence.
The advanced version of Academic Suite offers two platforms - Ad$pender™ - a fast, top-level summary of the multimedia advertising marketplace - and SRDS online service, which provides standard information on U.S. media properties and ad opportunities. This new version also provides users with data on out-of-home and interactive advertising sources, as well as tablet app advertising sources. The enhanced source makes it possible to filter demographic and lifestyle traits enabling local market audience analysis, to gain insights into online behavioral data, and to analyze how much advertisers are spending on ads. Users can also customize data by media, market, company brand and category.
The basic edition offers a custom advertising expenditure report for 18 media types, and SRDS rates, contacts, and profiles for business, consumer, newspaper, radio, and TV media.
